Spoil Me Spa Cloth

Finished size - 9" square
Materials you will need - About 1/2 skein of TLC Cotton Plus in Cream, leftover TLC Cotton Plus for edging in Medium Blue (or any contrasting colors you prefer), H hook.
Gauge- 5 pattern reps, 5 rows = 3 1/2" . Use whatever hook size you need to obtain gauge.
Ch 35

Row 1 - sk first 2 chains, (sc, 2 dc in next ch, sk 2 chs) across, ending with sc in last ch, ch 1, turn.
Row 2 - (sc, 2 dc) in each sc across, end with sc in last sc, ch 1, turn.
Repeat row 2 until piece measures 8". Change to edging color in last sc of last row. Do not turn.
Round 1 - ch 1, sc evenly along edge of piece, working 3 sc in each corner. End with 3 sc in last corner, sl st to first sc. Do not turn.
Round 2 - Ch 1, do a reverse sc in each stitch around. End with sl st in first reverse sc. End off. Weave in ends.

Note: Keep your sc's in the body of the cloth a bit tight or you will end up with holes in your cloth, but keep your dc's even. Hope you enjoy the pattern!

Update: I laundered the cloth for the first time and I have to say it went through with cotton towels and came out looking just like it did when I first made it. I am VERY pleased with that and knowing that the yarn was a good choice.

That being said, thank you for this pattern! Its hard to find quality spa cloth patters for free. :)

Hi,
I have a question about following this pattern. I haven't crocheted in many years. The directions say to (sc, 2 dc) in each sc across for row 2. Does this mean that I skip the stitches that were not sc in the previous row? It seems if I (sc, 2dc) in every stitch across I will add stitches every row without decreasing anywhere and not get a square in the end.

Thanks,
